This cru is without
any doubt the most attractive St. Estèphe with regard to the price-quality
ratio. The chateau belongs to doctor Gaëtan Lagneaux. The terroir is a puzzle
of 80 parcels in the appellation and has a total of 18ha. The most important
parts are situated in the hamlets Marbuzet and Bocq. The chateau doesn’t have a
second wine, all terroirs are of high quality (often neighbours of other grand
crus). The wine ripens for 14 months on oak barrels, of which 40% is renewed on
annual basis.
