Ch. Fonbadet is a
smaller Pauillac of about 8ha with wonderful terroirs: 4ha are situated next to
Ch. Latour and Ch. Pichon Comtesse, 3ha are situated next to Ch. Lynch Bages
and 13ha are surrounded by Ch. Mouton Rotschild. Pascale Peyronie (who has a
degree of jurist) is now the head of management after 10 years of working with
her father. The Peyronie family owns the domain for already 3 decades. Michel
Rolland is the advisor since 2015. An entire study of the vineyard was done,
tasting the berries to see if they were perfectly ripe and an entire
vinification in small barrels (225l) that are turned three times a day,… All
these aspects give a rounder wine with a bigger volume of fruit than before.
The fruit is now very ripe and soft. Pascale Peyronie wants to make a jewel of
her chateau within the appellation.
