Bernard Magrez bought
this magnificent Sauternes, located on the highest part of Bommes in 2012. With
this new acquisition he became the one and only unique owner of 4 Grand Cru
Classés in the 4 most important appellations (the others are: Ch. Pape Clément
in the Graves, Ch. La Tour Carnet in Médoc and Ch. Fombrauge in St. Emilion).
He bought the estate from the Pauly family, who, for years, made a Sauternes of
high quality. Michel Rolland now is the new advisor as for the other properties
of Bernard Magrez. The terroir has a clay subsoil which gives the wine a round
and sweet taste.
