The vineyards of Nada Giuseppe are situated in Treiso, one of the 4 biggest villages in the region of Barbaresco DOCG, where the Barbaresco wines come from.
The property consists of 9 hectares, including the beautiful ‘crus’ Casot and Marcarini, considered to be amongst the most expensive and oldest terroirs of Treiso.
In 1964, just before the recognition of the appellation DOC Barbaresco, Nada decided to bottle her own production (instead of selling the grapes in bulk). In 1968, Nada moved from an old farm next to the Casot terroir, to a whole new winery on the hill of Marcarini.
Throughout the years, technical improvements have been made to the winery while respecting traditional winemaking. Today, this winery is led by Giuseppe and Nella Nada and their daughter Barbara and son Enrico, who has been the winemaker there since 2008. The wines are of very high, excellent quality with fine tannins and good storage potential.
Colour description: The color is ruby red with garnet tendencies.
Nose: The bouquet has scents of dark fruits and floral notes.
Mouth: The taste is full and intense with a long finish and a hint of tartness. A robust wine with good acidity that pairs well with all foods, especially main courses and cheese.
