Château Croix de Labrie is a very small Cru of 3,58ha
that can be vinified accurately thanks to these small volumes. The
vineyards are situated in three places, each characterized by a different
terroir. The first terroir is called « Badon », located on the
inclines of Côte Pavie (sand-clay, creates finesse). The second terroir is in
Saint-Sulpice. Lastly, the third terroir is situated in Saint Christophe de
Bardes (chalk, adds complexity), where the wine cellar is located as well.
Since 2012, the wine is vinified by the owner Axelle Courdurié who has a strong
eye for detail and perfection. Each year, only 10 000 bottles are produced for worldwide
distribution. Advice comes from Michel Rolland and Hubert de Bouard. The output
is very low, 25hl/ha.
