Saint Emilion - Saint Emilion Gr Cru Classe
Alcohol 14,0 %
Ch. Laroque is one of the most spectacular castles of St. Emilion in terms of construction. A vineyard of 61ha is situated around it of which 27ha is destined for this Grand Cru CLassé. This cru belongs to the Beaumartin family and the direction and vinification is now done by David Suivre since 2015. He also does the vinification on Ch. Larcis Ducasse and Ch. Beauséjour Duffau – Lagarosse. In 1996 the cru was promoted to Grand Cru Classé. The clay-lime terroir on the plateau of St. Christophe de Bardes delivers good wines. The average age of the vines is 40 years and the wine ripen on oak barrels for approximately 12 months. It is a very elegant St. Emilion with a beautiful volume. Probably one of the most interesting Grand Cru Classés
