This wine of Jean-Marie Bouldy comes from the
hamlet ‘René’ at Pomerol. The terroir contains very deep layers of graves
(gravel with clay), which explains the name of the cru. The wine has an
enormous concentration of fine fruits shows great finesse and evolves
beautifully to the typical scents and tastes of a Pomerol (like earthy touches
with truffle and mushrooms), this is shown in some older millésimes. This cru
is biologically produced and has a very interesting price-quality ratio.
