Médoc - Saint Julien
Alcohol 13,0 %
This beautiful cru of 17ha often lives in the shadow of its big brother Ch Léoville Barton. Both are property of the Barton family. They are vinified in the same chai and by the same team. The taste differs because the terroir of Langoa Barton contains more clay and because more merlot is incorporated in the assembly. Therefore, the taste is more round in primeur. Make no mistake; Ch. Langoa Barton develops itself magnificently after 10 years and can be a real delicacy. This was proved by a 2001 that I recently tasted. A wine with a high standard!
