A magnificent yellow
ochre chateau was built in 1960 under direction of Guy Tesseron to replace the
old neglected buildings. Guy Tesseron is the brother of Alfred Tesseron of Ch.
Pontet Canet. Basile Tesseron has now the lead since 2008, he is the grandson
of Guy and the son of Michel Tesseron. In 2010 he directed the chateau towards biodynamics.
The one-piece vineyard of 45ha is situated on a magnificent ridge of clay and
gravel between Ch. Lafite Rotschild and Ch. Cos d’Estournel. It is a very
classic St. Estèphe which reaches absolute delicacy after 10 years of cellaring.
