The name ‘Cos’ comes
from the hamlet Caux, which means slope of gravel. This refers to the 18ha
ridge which is also the terroir of this beautiful cru. For more than half a
decade this cru has belonged to the Audoy family, who adapt their vinification
to the millésime to get a very strong but more elegant and pleasant St. Estèphe.
The wine ripens in new barrels for 50%, the rest ripens in barrels of one year.
