Since millésime 2014,
this chateau is called Ch. Capbern while it used to be called Ch. Capbern
Gasqueton. The new owner, the company ‘Suravenir’ wants to indicate the
modifications based on quality; on the label, the bottle, the cork, the capsule
and the case. The chateau is situated next to Ch. Calon Ségur which is also
property of ‘Suravenir’. The same team is responsible for the vinification,
which results in a remarkable quality for less money! The yields are very low
(43,5hl/ha) and the wine ripens for 18 months on 60% new oak.
