This cru belongs to
Jean-Charles Cazes, who followed his father’s (Jean-Michel Cazes) footsteps in
2006. Jean-Michel Cazes has certainly contributed to the qualitative resurrection
of this Grand Cru Classé. The terroir is beautifully situated on the plateau of
Bages, a ridge between the two Pichon Longuevilles, Ch. Lafite Rothschild and
Ch. Mouton Rothschild. It has excellent characteristics to produce great wines.
The quality of Ch. Lynch Bages equalizes the ten youngest years of a Second
Grand Cru Classé and the storage potential is enormous. Highly recommended to
those who cannot afford the expensive Premier Grand Cru Classés but want
excellent quality! The cellars and the vinification material have been entirely
renewed.
