Médoc - Margaux
Alcohol 13,0 %
Ch. Boyd Cantenac is one of the smallest cru classés from the Médoc with its 18ha on the plateau of Cantenac. Boyd Cantenac once belonged to the vineyard of Ch. Cantenac Brown. Today, the Guillemet family is the owner (just like Ch. Pouget, just next to it). The style is quite different. Ch. Pouget is more round and softer while Ch. Boyd Cantenac is more powerful and intense. Lucien Guillemet learnt the tricks of the vinification trade at Ch. Giscours. Only 5800 cases are made per year, which is not a lot for a domain in the Médoc region.
