Ch. Cap Léon Veyrin belongs to the Meyre family since 1810. It is now the sixth generation, Nathalie and Julien Meyre, who succeed their father Alain. The 15ha-terroir is one of the most beautiful of Listrac, historically seen. Nathalie and Julien both have a degree in oenology and apply the newest techniques by respecting their father’s traditions. This brings the wine to a higher level than before. Ch. Cap Léon Veyrin is a wine that can be stored very well. We tasted one from 1943, which still was very fresh! The wines are not made to keep that long anymore, but Ch. Cap Léon Veyrin tastes better 8 years after harvest date! Luckily, the Meyre family is very modest and they keep their prices low. This wine is without any doubt, the cheapest and most interesting price-quality ratio in our assortment. Do also read the comments on Ch. Julien, another wine of class from Haut Médoc and from the same family.
