This medieval, fortified castle was used as a fortress to protect the area from the vikings that tried to conquer the country via the Gironde.  Today, the chateau is in hands of the Gromand d’Evry family. It is situated in the village of the same name close to the Gironde and contains a clay-gravel terroir of 42ha. The wines are powerful and well balanced.
